Canoga Park, CA / Transplant Diagnostics (TDX)

How will you make an impact?

The Sr. Global Manager, Field Application Scientists primary responsibility will be to manage the activities of the global FAS team. In addition, this individual will be required to gain a deep understanding of, and practical familiarity with, key product lines. The candidate will make routine use of this product line knowledge when working closely with TDX s end-users and channel partners around the world.

What will you do?

Develop Performance Management & Development plan and goals for all FAS resources

Coordinate and approve FAS activity and planning. Develop FAS budget and manage internal inventory. Develop learning materials and presentations for field-based product line demonstrations and trainings that target both channel partners & TDX s global base of end-users.

Ownership of experimental plan creation and facilitation of field-based product line troubleshooting. Collaborate with the Technical Application Specialists when troubleshooting is required as part of a Customer Inquiry

Manage relationships with customers and Channel Partners worldwide

Champion the practice of maintaining close relationships with globally-based FAS colleagues, with the intent to promoting collaboration, sharing of best-practices, learning, and overall communication across the global FAS team

Maintain proficiency in legacy TDX product lines, software applications, equipment and keep current with advancements in the field of transplantation/HLA

Gain early-access to NPI, build proficiency, and lead the transfer of knowledge to entirety of FAS team in advance of commercialization. Direct coordination with R&D staff and Product Owners is required

Maintain strong relationship with Global commercial team through routine visits and on-line meetings

Ensure that entire FAS staff is certified to successfully run all TDX reagent, software, and equipment products.

Maintain an up-to-date understanding of current Commercial initiatives and strategies; maintain close collaboration with TDX Commercial team to act on current initiatives and opportunities

Act as voice of the customer and provide product feedback to departments such as Product Support, R&D, and Marketing via SOP-0065

Ensure that Global FAS team is reporting alleged product performance issues for processing through TDX Quality System

Represent the TDX business through attendance at various global tradeshows that focus on the field of transplantation/HLA, as requested by Marketing team

Share responsibility, or take the lead, in the facilitation of promotional presentations at global tradeshows, as requested by Marketing team

Coordinate maintenance of globally-based TDX Customer Service Centers; make use of Customer Service Centers, as needed, for facilitation of end-user and/or channel partner demo, training, and workshop activities

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor s degree from an accredited higher learning institution in the Biological or Chemical Sciences or related field

Experience

Seven (7) years of related working experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Strong knowledge and comfort with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Demonstrate success and comfort with creation and facilitation of technical programs and curriculums to both small and large audiences

Schedule and complete customer or channel partner visits on short notice to provide urgent product assistance

Take complex subjects and communicate the subject clearly and effectively to an audience of differing levels of familiarity

Effectively able to multi-task responsibilities and activities, and adapt to sudden changes in expectations and job needs

Exercise independent discretion and judgment in execution of duties and decisions

Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, to management, customers, and third parties

Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

Occasional lifting of office and/or laboratory equipment up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

Five (5) years global FAS experience

Working experience in an HLA Laboratory or related HLA establishment

Direct experience and knowledge of TDX s Antibody Detection and/or Molecular Typing products

Ability to speak additional languages

Frequent domestic and international travel (50-75%) is required to visit customers, Customer Service Centers, and Channel Partners. This position has the option to be based remotely in the domestic U. S.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
